AIG's Singapore CEO sees 3 growth drivers
They are cyber, professional indemnity and homeowner insurance; poll shows only 9% of S'pore firms are covered against cyber crimes

BUSINESSES here may have become increasingly aware of the need to protect themselves against cyber crimes in the wake of hacking incidents in the United States on corporations including Sony and health insurer Anthem but many are still slow to take up protection against such breaches.
A survey conducted late last year by general insurer AIG Singapore found that two in three respondents here said cyber insurance was a priority area for them but only 9 per cent were protected against such crimes.
