Airbus, SIAEC to provide maintenance training services in Singapore
Singapore
PLANEMAKER Airbus and SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) are joining hands to provide maintenance and engineering training services for Airbus aircraft in Singapore. Under the agreement, SIAEC will use Airbus standards, tools and teaching techniques to provide aircraft manufacturer-backed maintenance training capabilities to its employees and to third party personnel in the region, the companies said in a joint release on Monday.
For Airbus, this means being able to better support clients in the region, which account for a sizeable portion of its orders. In addition, SIAEC Training Academy will be equipped with Airbus' most up-to-date maintenance training devices and courseware for aircraft families such as the A320/A330, A380 and the new A350. As an Airbus Maintenance Training Centre, the Training Academy will be able to carry out contractual training for Airbus' customers.
