Amundi cool to Asian emerging market bonds

ACROSS emerging markets, Asian bonds are not as attractive as their higher-yielding counterparts in Latin America and Turkey, said Abbas Ameli-Renani, global emerging markets strategist at French asset manager Amundi.

"In Asia, the only currencies that we do like are India and Indonesia. These are fairly consensus views. But we're global emerging markets and see much better opportunities outside of Asia," he said in a discussion with the media last Wednesday.
