ANZ appoints Vishnu Shahaney as CEO for Indonesia
ANZ has received regulatory approval for the appointment of Vishnu Shahaney as president director, PT Bank ANZ Indonesia (CEO ANZ Indonesia), reporting to group executive international Farhan Faruqui.
Mr Shahaney has been CEO of ANZ Singapore since 2010, during which time he was instrumental in building the Singapore business into a qualified full bank and one of ANZ's two regional business hubs in Asia, the bank said in a statement on Wednesday.
He takes over from Joseph Abraham, who will be leaving ANZ at the end of his term after more than seven years in the role.
Mr Shahaney is expected to commence as the bank's CEO for Indonesia, based in Jakarta, within a few weeks.
