PROFESSIONAL services firm Aon has launched a new climate innovation hub in Singapore to help its clients around the world navigate environmental risk and opportunities, with support from the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB).
The hub is housed under Aon’s Centre for Innovation and Analytics, which the company plans to grow to more than 350 people over the next 10 years, from nearly 180 people currently.
The new hub will help Aon provide clients with better analytical capabilities and solutions, particularly in areas such as climate, ESG (environmental, social and governance) and workforce resilience, said Anne Corona, who is the company’s chief executive officer for the Asia-Pacific region.
The company will also work closely with EDB to identify local talent, pursue innovation at scale and develop new solutions, said Aon CEO Greg Case.
EDB chairman Png Cheong Boon, who was at the launch, said: “Aon’s climate innovation hub will complement Singapore’s growing ecosystem of sustainability solutions providers that can help businesses meet their climate commitments, support their energy transition and explore green growth opportunities.
“We look forward to partnering with Aon on this initiative and to bring together Aon’s expertise and Singapore solutions providers to develop new and innovative solutions to tackle climate and sustainability challenges.”
