Apple supplier Hi-P 'not a one-man show', says executive chairman
Yao Hsiao Tung, at 77, is still testing potential successors - 'perhaps a pipeline', he says
Singapore
APPLE supplier Hi-P International is "not a one-man show", said executive chairman Yao Hsiao Tung, 77, as he introduced a new chief operating officer (COO) at the firm that he has led for almost 35 years.
"I cannot work 12 hours, 16 hours a day as all you young guys. I have to delegate . . . We have to build a foundation, we should make nobody indispensible," he said at a post-results briefing on Tuesday that was attended by fund managers and analysts.
