AsiaMedic appoints Kwek Zhi Bin as new CEO
HEALTH screening and medical imaging company AsiaMedic has appointed Arifin Kosumo Kwek Zhi Bin as its new chief executive officer (CEO), the loss-making Catalist-listed company said in a bourse filing on Wednesday (Mar 30).
Kwek, 49, is currently the managing director of Lifescan Imaging and Lifescan Medical, which also does health screening and imaging, under the Singapore Medical Group.
Kwek, who has served in the position since September 2015, had also served as senior vice president of Singapore Medical Group from May 2011 to December 2019.
His credentials stated that he had gone through the Southeast Asia Healthcare Leadership programme offered by the Harvard Medical School from 2019 to 2020, and has a Masters in Business Administration from the Australian National University.
AsiaMedic said the appointment will take effect on Jun 20.
There had been a spate of departures at the company, which had been on the search for a CEO after Choo Kin Poo, 47, stepped down to pursue his personal interests in 2019.

Its chief operating officer Wong Kae Tong, 45, was the latest to resign. AsiaMedic said in January that she had tendered to pursue her personal and professional interests and she will step down on Apr 2.
Shares of AsiaMedic closed unchanged at S$0.013 before the announcement on Wednesday evening.
