Asian debt is good way to get income, says fund manager
Returns have been strong so far this year, and flows are returning to region
INVESTING in Asian debt is a good way to pick up income, said Stephen Chang, head of Asian fixed income at JP Morgan Asset Management.
Investors got overly bearish over Asian debt at the end of last year, he noted in a recent interview.
But returns so far this year have been strong, and flows are returning to the region as there is now a more balanced view of the markets, he said.
"Fixed income remains a good play to pick up income," said Mr Chang.
