Asian markets turn in mixed performance
Trading is light as many markets are closed or on half-day; STI ends 4.12 points or 0.13 per cent lower at 3,184.56
MUTED trade activity on the account that many Asian markets were on holiday or on half-sessions resulted in a mixed trading day in Asia.
This came despite a bumper US jobs report that had sent US equities higher on Friday.
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index (STI) closed 4.12 points or 0.13 per cent lower at 3,184.56. The benchmark index has gained 3.8 per cent thus far in the year.
