PHOSPHATE miner AsiaPhos' shares closed 58 per cent above its offer price of 25 cents in its trading debut yesterday, making it the best performing initial public offering so far this year in percentage terms.
The counter hit an intra-day high of 48.5 cents about an hour after opening at 42 cents, before ending the day at 39.5 cents.
Some 181 million shares worth $78.6 million changed hands for the counter, the fifth most heavily traded stock on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) yesterday.
