TUESDAY was a red-letter day for ASM Pacific Technology (ASMPT). The Hong Kong-listed semiconductor-assembly and packaging-equipment maker opened a facility to house its biggest business segments, as well as an innovation centre.
The two facilities in Yishun, a five-minute walk apart, represent an investment of more than S$50 million by the company, which now calls Singapore its headquarters.
