Associate contributions bolster Keppel T&T's Q3 profit
Turnover up 17.9% on higher revenue from data centre and logistics units
HIGHER contributions from associated firms pushed third-quarter profit for Keppel Telecommunications & Transportation (Keppel T&T) up 4.2 per cent to $14.1 million, the Keppel Corp unit said yesterday.
Revenue for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2013, grew 17.9 per cent to $40.4 million from the same period a year ago. This, the company attributed to higher revenue from its data centre and logistics divisions.
Even so, Keppel T&T's operating profit fell 10.5 per cent to $5.1 million, mostly because of lower operating profit from its logistics segment during the quarter.
