AusGroup expands maintenance contract with Chevron Australia
MAINBOARD-listed construction and marine services provider AusGroup has secured extended work under its master services maintenance contract at Chevron Australia's natural gas facilities in Western Australia (WA), it said in a Singapore Exchange filing on Monday.
AusGroup said it will supply experienced planning, supervision and multidiscipline trade resources to support a scheduled major turnaround at the Chevron-operated Gorgon facility. The value of the additional work was not disclosed. It will create 150 local jobs, AusGroup said.
Several key packages across Chevron's WA natural gas facilities have also been awarded under this contract. This includes pipe fabrication, compressor transportation and lifting frame, main stack replacement.
AusGroup CEO and executive director Shane Kimpton said in a statement that there are over 20 liquefied natural gas (LNG) trains producing in Australia, "providing ongoing opportunities for our business to grow existing contracts and win new work."
