Aviva buys over VietinBank's 50% stake in their Vietnam joint venture

INSURER Aviva plc said on Friday that it has acquired VietinBank's 50 per cent stake in the life insurance joint venture between the two, called VietinBank Aviva Life Insurance Limited (Aviva Vietnam).

The insurer also signed a new distribution agreement with VietinBank to sell life and health insurance products through the latter's network of more than 1,100 branches and transaction offices - the second largest in the market.
