WITH ransomware attacks on the rise in Singapore, the Association of Banks in Singapore (ABS) this week found itself defending successfully against such an infection aimed at drawing a ransom in exchange for data held hostage by hackers.
The incident led longstanding ABS director Ong-Ang Ai Boon to observe how quickly criminals are pushing ahead of regulations.
