WARREN Buffett, at a news conference in Bengaluru in 2011, lavishly praised Berkshire Hathaway executive Ajit Jain for smoothly running much of the conglomerate's insurance businesses. Mr Buffett, the billionaire chief executive officer and chairman of Berkshire, said he would also support Mr Jain if ever he decided to seek Mr Buffett's post.
"He loves what he does, he's not looking to take my job," Mr Buffett then said about Mr Jain, who was born in the eastern Indian state of Orissa. "If he was, the board of directors would probably put him in there in a minute."
