Beware environmental damage from projects funded by regional lenders, ADB warns

THE Independent Evaluation Unit of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has sounded an alarm over what it foresees as a danger of environmental and other damage resulting from major infrastructural projects in Asia.
These are projects powered by funds from new regional banks, as well as governments' drive to "ramp up" growth by pushing for such projects.
