BNP Paribas Investment Partners said on Friday that Christian Bucaro will replace Puay-Lit Tan as its chief executive officer for Singapore with immediate effect.
Mr Tan, who joined the firm in November 2013, has taken time off to pursue his personal interests, the asset management business of the BNP Paribas Group said in a release.
Mr Bucaro, who has been the head of private wealth for BNP Paribas Investment Partners, Asia-Pacific, since January 2014, will report to Ligia Torres, head of Asia Pacific, and Tino Moorrees, head of Asia sales.
He will oversee the bank's Singapore business interests and drive its local strategy across all client groups as well as manage its multi-asset solutions space.
Mr Bucaro joined BNP Paribas Investment Partners in 2005 in Italy. He moved to London in 2008 where he held several senior roles. He joined the Singapore office in 2012 as team head distribution sales for South-east Asia, before heading private wealth for BNP Paribas Investment Partners, Asia-Pacific.
