LESS than two years after opening its Singapore office, discount broker Charles Schwab has decided to cease operations here at year's end.
In a statement on Thursday, the brokerage said that following a review of its business outside the US, it has decided to focus its resources "on markets where we can most effectively serve clients and where we can do it most efficiently for the firm".
