Citigroup Southeast Asia head Zink leaves after 28 years at bank
[SINGAPORE] Michael Zink, who oversees Citigroup Inc's business in Southeast Asia, will retire after more than 28 years at the New York-based bank.
Mr Zink, who works from Singapore, wants to return to the US, Francisco Aristeguieta, the lender's chief executive officer for the Asia-Pacific region, said Friday in an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg.
Adam Abdur Rahman, a Singapore-based spokesman, confirmed the content of the document. A successor will be named later, he said.
Mr Zink joined Citigroup in New York in 1988 and has held executive roles for the bank in 10 countries on four continents, according to the memo. He became head of Southeast Asia in 2012, an addition to his role as Singapore country officer.
