DBS announces cloud deals with Amazon, Microsoft

COINCIDING with the release of revised guidelines on outsourcing, including cloud computing, by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), DBS Bank on Wednesday announced two major cloud computing deals that it expects will increase its operational efficiency.
It has signed an agreement with leading cloud infrastructure provider Amazon Web Services (AWS) to leverage its cloud technology. With this, DBS will create a hybrid cloud environment optimised for rapid changes of capacity and functionality, which will complement the bank's traditional use of data centres.
