DBS hires ex-HSBC banker to lead Indonesian unit

DBS on Friday said it has hired former HSBC banker Paulus Sutisna to head its Indonesian unit.
Mr Sutisna, 50, will also be a member of DBS management.
The banker, who was head of client management for global banking and co-head of cash management at HSBC, has more than 25 years of experience in banking, mostly across front and mid-office functions.
He has also had stints in credit and risk management roles.
Before HSBC, Mr Sutisna spent more than 20 years at Citibank, including taking on the role of managing director and head of the multinational franchise in Indonesia.
Said DBS CEO Piyush Gupta: "As DBS entrenches its position as a leading bank in Asia, we will continue to strengthen our franchise in Asia's three key axes of growth. Indonesia is an important market for us, and we intend to further accelerate our organic growth plans in the country.
