DEUTSCHE Bank AG has poached JPMorgan Chase & Co's Jeff Urwin to help lead its investment-banking and trading unit, filling a key role at the German firm that had been empty since January.

Mr Urwin, 59, replaces Robert Rankin atop Deutsche Bank's advisory arm as well as leading debt and equity underwriting, the Frankfurt-based company said on Wednesday in a statement. Mr Urwin will be based in New York while Colin Fan, the other co-head of the corporate banking and securities division, oversees trading from London.
