    CURRENCY wars have become a regular feature in headlines, but what exactly is a currency war, and how will it affect you as an investor? The summer months of 2015, and August in particular, were unsettling for investors.

    The sharp selloff in equity markets and volatility in bond markets were made all the more unnerving by what appeared to be very mixed messages from different economic regions.
