A helping hand for charitable giving
A PLATFORM set up by Credit Suisse for wealthy individuals who want to engage in charitable activities without the hassle of dealing with administrative matters has seen growing interest from its clients since its launch in 2011.
Open to the bank's clients, the SymAsia Foundation is now home to almost 30 sub-foundations that disbursed more than S$60 million in funding to around 250 charities worldwide.
The range of causes and the level of involvement by the donors vary widely, said Benjamin Cavalli, managing director, market area head South-east Asia and head of Singapore location, private banking Asia-Pacific.
