THE national skills accreditation agency for the financial sector is rolling out a job and skills platform to address skills gaps in the industry, amid growing concern that a large number of banking jobs may be lost or severely impacted by the advent of technology, The Business Times understands.

Singapore's Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) has called for proposals to build a cloud-based platform that will allow for up to 10 financial institutions in Singapore to map evolving job descriptions for current positions, identify skills gaps to reaching these jobs, and to match the jobs to relevant training programmes to bridge the gaps identified.
