Insurance agents' days far from over, says AIA

INSURANCE agents are still very much relevant in today's world, says AIA, but the Hong Kong-based insurer which largely relies on its agency force for the bulk of business does not rule out the possibility of setting up a financial advisory (FA) firm like how some of its competitors in Singapore have.

For now though, AIA's regional chief executive Ng Keng Hooi says the insurer is "watching that closely".
