JPMORGAN Chase named Sunil Dhupelia and Huang Peihao co-heads of equity capital markets (ECM) for Asia-Pacific, expanding their roles, as part of a broader regional reshuffle for its ECM business, according to a memo sent to staff on Monday (Jul 29).

JPMorgan’s co-head of Australia ECM, Simone Haslinger, is leaving the bank and Jonas Troeber will become sole head of Australia ECM, the memo said. Haslinger decided not to return after a period of parental leave and will pursue other opportunities outside the bank, the memo said. A spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo.

Sophie Qian, head of South-east Asia ECM, will join the Asia private bank and relocate to Hong Kong.

Satish Arcot was named head of India private capital markets, reporting to Abhinav Bharti, head of India ECM, and Gautam Sareen, head of alternative equity financing, Asia-Pacific. BLOOMBERG
