INSURANCE and professional services have traditionally been separate, but United Kingdom-based insurer Markel International is on the way to combining the two.
The insurer, which underwrites insurance and reinsurance products for firms in areas such as professional indemnity, trade credit business, product liability and marine, has begun researching the possibility of offering legal-expenses insurance as a standalone product.
