MBSB's net profit increases 45% to RM192m in Q3

ON the back of an expansion in corporate loans, Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB) has registered a 45 per cent increase in net profit to RM192.4 million (S$75 million) for the third quarter to end-September compared to the same period last year.
One of three financial institutions that are engaged in a proposed corporate merger to form a mega Islamic bank, MBSB saw a 5.4 per cent rise in revenue to RM679 million, for a cumulative nine-month revenue of RM2.18 billion (RM1.8 billion in 2013).
