NETS - Singapore's payment system provider - on Sunday said that it plans to wire another 10 to 20 food centres here for contactless payments this year.
In dubbing the move into hawker centres as a final frontier of sorts, it also highlighted the greater trek ahead in contactless payment. The penetration rate for card payments in Singapore remains low at only 30 per cent, said Nets' CEO Jeffrey Goh in a media statement.
