MYANMAR'S largest private bank, Kanbawza Bank or KBZ Bank, has opened a representative office in Singapore.
It is the first Myanmar bank to set up an office here, said a press release. The office is at One Raffles Place.
"It will serve as a source of information for regulatory requirements in both markets, as well as offering market research and feasibility studies on investment and business opportunity and private sector liaison services," KBZ said.
After China, Singapore is Myanmar's largest investor, KBZ noted.
"Visa-free travel between Myanmar and Singapore will commence on Dec 1, 2016. This, coupled with Singapore's significant flow of investments to Myanmar, will serve to further the ease of doing business between the two nations."
