New appointments at Bank of Singapore, Endowus and Citi

    BANK of Singapore (BOS), Endowus and Citi on Tuesday announced several new hires related to wealth planning, advisory and a new business line, across various regions.

    Here is a round-up of the new appointments:

    Bank of Singapore

    BOS, the private banking subsidiary of OCBC, has appointed Paul Chua as its global head of wealth planning, with effect from June 28. He takes over from Tariq Salem, who will focus exclusively on his role as head of the structured solutions group.

    Prior to BOS, Mr Chua spent 19 years in UBS and was most recently its head of wealth planning in Singapore.

    In his new role, Mr Chua will be based in Singapore and report to BOS's global head of products Lim Leong Guan. He will drive the expansion and innovation of the bank's wealth planning, family office, trust and succession offerings.

    He will lead a team providing holistic solutions and advisory services to ultra-high and high net worth families across BOS's key markets in South-east Asia, Greater China, the Middle East and Europe.

    Endowus

    The digital wealth platform has appointed Tan Wei Mei as its chief advisory officer. She was most recently a managing director at Deutsche Bank as its global co-head of advisory and investment solutions.

    In her new role at Endowus, Ms Tan will drive strategic initiatives to accelerate growth and provide leadership in curating the advisory and investment solutions delivered to clients across all segments.

    She will also be responsible for building "best-in-class" portfolio strategies and fund selection, as part of Endowus' investment committee.

    Before Deutsche Bank, Ms Tan was the Asia-Pacific head of portfolio solutions at Credit Suisse. She also spent six years at UBS Wealth Management, where she was the Asia-Pacific head of mandate specialists.

    Citi

    Citi has appointed James Lloyd as its Asia-Pacific head of Spring by Citi - the bank's new business line for institutional clients to accept payments from consumers using cards, e-wallets and bank accounts.

    Based in Hong Kong, Mr Lloyd is responsible for driving the development, launch and commercialisation of Spring by Citi in the Asia-Pacific region.

    Mr Lloyd joined Citi from EY, where he was a partner within the strategy and transactions practice. He also led EY's dedicated fintech capability across the Asia-Pacific, while also serving as the leader of the global payments practice for the region.
