New social compact needed amid tech revolution

DBS chief says shifts in technology, geopolitics creating a world of radical uncertainty

    THE "radical uncertainty" brought about by technology, needs to spur a new social compact as society may struggle to catch up to this latest revolution, said DBS chief Piyush Gupta.

    Speaking at the DBS institutional investors symposium on Thursday, Mr Gupta noted that regulatory and populist pushback amid the swift changes brought about by technology, may shake up the current low-volatility environment.
