Over 140 tech job openings available for women at this year's DBS virtual career fair
MORE THAN 140 job openings will be available at the second edition of DBS's virtual career fair for female technologists in Singapore this year, announced the bank in a press statement on Tuesday.
Named "DBS Women in Tech", the fair's inaugural run in 2020 saw more than 500 applicants for 50 job opportunities.
DBS said that this year it intends to focus its outreach efforts on five engineering roles, namely: engineering lead, solution architect, ReactJS developer, full stack developer and software development engineering in test.
Interested applicants are required to go through an 80-minute online assessment for the roles they are applying for to gauge their technical and planning capabilities.
After submitting their online assessments by June 8, shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online hiring day on June 12. They will learn more about DBS's approach to fostering diversity and inclusion in its workforce as well as the career development pathways available before attending a virtual interview.
"This year we are making a concerted push to improve female representation in engineering roles, a space which continues to see a dearth of women across the industry," said Soh Siew Choo, DBS group head of Big Data/artificial intelligence and consumer banking technology.
"We believe that by driving diversity in our engineering roles we will be able to incorporate a multiplicity of views and perspectives upstream so as to deliver outstanding digital experiences for our customers," she added.
