THE Singapore Exchange (SGX) yesterday reassured investors that its trading system and technology were well-protected from cyber attacks, in particular the latest virus which includes a "ransomware" bug that blocks access to data until a ransom is paid.
In a statement, SGX's head of information security, Tee Chun Meng, said the exchange has taken the necessary measures to secure its technology environment against the ransomware threat.
