THE Singapore Fintech Festival (SFF) this year drew the largest turnout yet, receiving a record 62,000 participants from over 115 countries, the highest since its inception in 2016, said organiser Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) on Monday (Nov 14).

The festival this year featured more than 850 speakers and over 570 exhibitor booths, with a new ESG Fintech Zone showcasing technological solutions driving the region’s net-zero effort.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong opened the event on Nov 2, 2022.

There were closed-door roundtables held over the duration of the festival. These saw an attendance of nearly 1,200 leaders from government, industry and civil society, who gathered to discuss topics such as cross-border payments, stablecoins development, open finance, sustainable finance, digital banking, Web3 and digital assets. These conversations will continue at the second edition of the Point Zero Forum, to be held from Jun 26 to 28, 2023 in Zurich, Switzerland.

MAS said it looks forward to a “continued collaboration with the industry to bring together an exciting and impactful SFF 2023”, to be held from Nov 13 to 17, 2023.
