THE decision to join the new Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is both a natural and a critical move for Singapore as an international financial centre and a regional business hub, said Senior Minister of State for Finance Josephine Teo in parliament on Monday.
She was speaking at the passing of legislation to enable the Republic to ratify the AIIB Articles of Agreement and to formally become a member of the China-led institution.
