STANDARD Chartered has appointed former JPMorgan executive Bill Winters to replace Peter Sands as group chief executive, the bank said on Thursday as it also announced other dramatic senior management and board changes.
In what looked like the hollowing out of experienced Asian hands, Asia group chief executive and group executive director Jaspal Bindra will also be stepping down on April 30, after 16 years with the bank.
