Taiwan central bank says economic growth gradually recovering
[TAIPEI] Taiwan's central bank said it sees economic growth gradually recovering quarter by quarter, as it announced a 12.5 basis point cut to its policy rate on Thursday.
The rate cut came as expected and is the third consecutive cut since the central bank began lowering the discount rate in late September.
Central bank governor Perng Fai-nan will hold a news briefing at 0900 GMT to detail the economic outlook.
