Banyan Tree appoints Ho Kwon Ping's daughter to oversee retail operations
LUXURY resorts operator Banyan Tree Holdings has appointed Ho Ren Yung, daughter of its executive chairman Ho Kwon Ping, as director of its group retail operations.
In this position, Ms Ho, 30, will be responsible for the retail operations of the group's Spa and Gallery division, including its merchandising, procurement and international sourcing.
Ms Ho had previously worked as a management trainee in Banyan Tree Mayakoba in January 2009, and from May 2009 to December 2010 was made pre-opening manager. She was promoted to associate director in January 2011, but she left the group nine months later to pursue her personal interest in retail and social enterprise projects.
