BBR lands S$363m contract for design, construction of Pasir Ris East station

MAINBOARD-LISTED construction group BBR Holdings has won a contract from the Land Transport Authority (LTA) worth S$363 million for the design and construction of Pasir Ris East station under the first phase of the Cross Island Line (CRL1).
The contract was awarded to its wholly-owned unit, Singapore Engineering & Construction, and its joint venture partner, Sinohydro Corporation.
Construction works for the CRL1 Pasir Ris East station are expected to start in the second quarter of this year, with passenger service slated for 2030.
Singapore Engineering and Construction's previous projects include the construction of Tai Seng facility building, which serves the Downtown Line, and the widening of Keppel viaduct.
The counter closed at 13.3 Singapore cents on Wednesday (Feb 9), unchanged.
