MAY was a weak month for stocks across most sectors in general, although the consumer discretionary sector stood out as one exception.
This sector generated a capitalisation weighted 3.1 per cent total return in May, trimming its decline in the first five months of the year to 3.9 per cent, SGX Research said on Wednesday.
