Bid to unseat Pteris directors falls through
THE April 25 extraordinary general meeting (EGM) that Pteris Global director Winston Tan had called with the aim of removing five colleagues has turned out to be a non-event, after Mr Tan withdrew from the event and resigned from the board.
Unable to obtain enough proxies to vote on shareholders' behalf, Mr Tan said in a letter to shareholders yesterday that he had decided on a change of tactics.
"My resignation will allow me the freedom to raise matters which would be otherwise difficult if I remain on the Board," he said.
