LARGER counters lifted the Singapore stock market out of a four-month slump to grow 2.5 per cent in February, according to data compiled by The Business Times.

The total market capitalisation of Singapore-listed stocks rose month-on-month to $895.1 billion as at yesterday's close, ending what had been the longest shrinking streak for the market since 2008. Against the year-ago value of $929.3 billion, however, the size of the Singapore market declined 3.7 per cent.
