THE Big Four accounting firms are much more productive than all other accounting firms in Singapore and dominate the local scene with a 67 per cent market share, according to an inaugural census of accounting firms here done by a local statutory board.
Out of the 265 respondents - which made up roughly 38 per cent out of an estimated 701 accounting firms here - majority also expect their Singapore revenue to grow, and plan to hire more people in the 12 months following the census date, the Singapore Accountancy Commission (SAC) said in a report released on Monday. The survey was conducted from May 29 to June 30, 2015.
