BlackRock names heads of wealth for Singapore, Greater China
FUND manager BlackRock on Monday (Jul 24) announced two appointments to head its Greater China and Singapore wealth teams.
Dennis Quah joins as the Singapore Wealth head with effect from Monday.
He will focus on building partnerships with consumer banks, private banks and insurers, as well as joining forces with the firm’s specialists to build portfolios for clients.
Prior to the new role, Quah spent two decades in asset management, distribution and product development throughout Asia markets.
According to his LinkedIn profile, he was head of wholesale distribution and head of product for Asia at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, EMEA Apac, up until June 2023. He was also previously with Amundi, OCBC and Schroders.
Meanwhile, Mandy Lui will join BlackRock in mid-August as the firm’s head of Greater China Wealth in Hong Kong.

She will focus on developing strategic relationships with key distributors throughout Hong Kong, Taiwan and offshore China, while also ensuring clients have access to BlackRock’s full range of investment capabilities.
Lui most recently served Baring Asset Management as head of wealth and retail distribution for Greater China and South-east Asia. Prior to that, she led wealth distribution efforts for BNP Paribas Asset Management, Schroders and Russell Investments.
James Raby, BlackRock’s Asia-Pacific head of wealth, said both Quah and Lui have a “deep local market understanding and expertise in helping clients build whole portfolios”, and that this is “highly valuable” amid the current market environment.
