As blue chips flounder, 2nd and 3rd liners take over
BLUE chips floundered this week with the Straits Times Index dropping 35 points or 1.1 per cent over the week to 3,258.8, but there was sufficient action in the second and third line to help keep flickering interest in local equities alive.
Some of the stocks involved made significant announcements, while others saw their shares propelled upwards by unknown forces for unknown reasons.
One drew a query from the Singapore Exchange (SGX) which was followed by the issuance of a Trade With Caution (TWC) notice, others were not queried.
