BOUSTEAD Singapore on Monday announced that it has recently been awarded a construction management and construction contract worth RM90 million (S$35 million).
The contract was clinched by BP Engineering Solutions Sdn Bhd, a unit of its wholly-owned subsidiary, Boustead Projects, an industrial real estate solutions provider.
The contract is for the building of a medical device manufacturing facility for a US multinational corporation, to be located at the Kulim Hi-Tech Park in Kedah, Malaysia.
The 1,700-hectare integrated technology park is home to capital intensive and high value-added technology-related industrial sectors such as advanced electronics, telecommunications and semiconductors.
The construction of the facility is expected to be completed in Q2 2015.
The contract adds to Boustead Projects' strategic expansion into Malaysia, where Boustead Projects' 35 per cent-owned joint venture development, iBP @ Nusajaya has been officially launched in Iskandar Malaysia.
