BROKERAGES in Singapore will be on tenterhooks over the next few days as they wait to assess the fallout from the surprise suspension yesterday of three high-volume stocks, market sources said.
Of particular concern are contra positions, in which traders buy shares and try to sell them at a profit before taking ownership in order to minimise the actual capital required to be put up.
